Her sister, Minerva, asks if she is pregnant, which Sephy denies.

This was, of course, because I had grown so attached to Sephy over the course of the first two books. I genuinely liked the story. Callum has his trial and is sentenced to be hanged. Children’s Laureate Malorie Blackman had a variety of jobs before she became a full time writer and spent many years working as a Database Manager for Reuters travelling extensively within Europe and the United States.

Tobey starts off dead against the gang culture, but he realises with some work, he could get some money in order to achieve a better life style. This book isn’t perfect and you do need to read the books before it, however, if you like the Noughts and Crosses series, then you should be pleasantly glad to read it as it adds more to the whole saga.

Tobey was a great character in all except his weakness for Callie, who was as annoying as ever. I was also disappointed that Sephy was in this novel so infrequently as I enjoyed her character much more as she aged. This is a blacckman intelligent thriller with important things to say, and once again the distance between Blackman’s imagined world and present-day inner city is beautifully judged. Or was that supposed to be Not really sure what I expected from this book.

I hear this book was an afterthought anyway and this series was originally going to be the first three books which is how I choose to view them having read this. It is very encouraging that Blackman’s series of books has been so successful and is widely read and made available in UK schools — as it cdoss rightly should continue to be.

Callum sprints to Sephy’s house and fails to catch up with the car as it pulls out of the driveway. She enters the house and discovers that Callum had left her a letter telling her to meet him at the family’s private beach.

Completely off topic, it hasn’t got to do with anything!!! He fights to prove that he will find a way out a Double Cross gave me the teen-romance I’d been missing on in Knife Edge and Checkmate.

After she dies in hospital, Jude is eventually arrested and charged with Cara’s murder. I can’t say I didn’t enjoy it but sometimes authors need to know to stop whilst you’re ahead. They decide to run away together.

As this latest novel begins, year-old Callie is struggling to come to terms with a bomb blast that killed her grandmother Jasmine and dangerous uncle Jude. And there malodie a sweet scene between Callie and Tobey… their first time together doub,e you are practically shouting at them to tell each other the truth!

That was how I felt reading this series. She gets humanity as a whole, too. This stage version is adapted by Sabrina Mahfouz for Pilot Theatre. However,I would have loved to see more Sephy,Meggie and Callie. She suffers from a horrible disease which has symptoms of bitchiness, moodiness and erratic behavior.

Somewhere in the background gangs croxs trafficking drugs and carving up their turf. On a final note I am in no way romantically interested in real life terrorists, just fictional ones.

Double Cross (Noughts & Crosses, #4) by Malorie Blackman

I still found this book gripping but feel it lacked the whole theme running through the other books. I personally believe that Blackman had a fantastic end to the third book blaciman that the fourth book was simply unnecessary.

Noughts and Crosses is a powerful quartet, one I recommend to fans of mature YA.
