It would have been good to see more writing of his time in Korn after he became a believer, but it was still a really good book. Jun 20, Mika rated it it was ok Shelves: Not as good as Head’s book, but still worth checking out. Hardcoverpages. That’s really all you need to get started.
Nov 16, Obliterature The Bibliophile rated it it was amazing. The book was very easy to read. Like I said earlier, the writing isn’t the best, but the book is very entertaining and informative. With never-before-seen photos, and never-before-heard stories, Got the Life is raw, candid, and inspiring–the ultimate story of rock and redemption.
Absolutely fascinating read about vot guy with an extraordinary life, who found an extraordinary God. He was a great interview, and very interesting. Genuinely don’t know how to Some highlights: I did at times feel really bad for Fieldy as he didn’t seem to have the smoothest or best of a family life when he was younger, but thankfully he has survived all of the trials and tribulations of his younger years and has come out of the “darkness” as a better and more enlightened man.

Fieldy will tell you several times that they are. I read this in my high school years, since I was a fan of Korn at the time.
He gave a lot of gory details of his former life. Personally I cannot deal with that shit sorry! It can be a bit preachy, but it definetly shows just how damaging that the party lifestyle ffieldy be, which is why I found it to be important. Wouldn’t have expected this be as house-trained as hhe was.
While similar to “Save Me From Myself”, it’s also distinctly different. Then that became Garfield, then Field, then Fieldy. Unlike Head, Fieldy did not leave Korn when he turned his life around, but rather stuck with the band and his new found faith at the same time.
He lived such an amazing and privileged life I couldn’t bring myself to accept any of Fieldy’s behavior toward people. There are no llfe topics on this book yet. What have you got when you got the life?

I loved the story of how he found himself and God but it just didn’t connect the same way as I did with Brian “Head” Welch’s book but I would recomend it is a great story of struggle, starvation, drug addiction and finally recovery.
I still am, just not as much. Interesting story of a sinner saved by grace. A very good book. He was unfaithful, abusive, mean, sometimes violent. To any Korn fan’s out there, if you haven’t peeped this book out yet, i recommend that you do so, ilfe with Brian “Head” Welch’s books.
